Hi e-Mom, we share the same favorite art history period, but you probably already know that! You are always the first (and usually the only!) to identify one of my art pieces I feature on a monthly rotation at the top of my blog. Renoir, Monet, Degas, Cassatt, they all rock! (Well, Mary Cassatt was American, but she spent most of her adult life in France, so that counts her among the French Impressionists in my opinion). :-)

Like you, my 87 yr. old father has a passion for WWII history. He adores novels by John le Carre.

As for me, my favorite period of art history is 18th Century French Impressionism. I think my love of France comes from my early years in Quebec.
