Fencepost, agreed, it's a great thing to watch. e-Mom, thank you. halfmoon girl, read on in September to see what I'm doing this year. Always something different, it seems. It involves school. Tipper, I'm working on being "present." My mind wanders onto the many things crashing upon me that *have* to get done, so it's a triumph when I can actually accomplish this thing of living in the moment. Mrs. Darling, I love the extension cord comment--I can totally hear that!

It is us, the parents, that give children the confidence to conquor the world.
I LOVE watching little minds at work. When they don’t realize they are being watched. And then when they say, “Hey Mom, did you see…..” I can say, “Yes, I did”. They are so proud when an adult notices.

E-Mom, I believe it. It will just have to be an old car that he fixes. Seems like the new ones are so computerized that you’re forced to just take them in to the dealership. At any rate, I love the natural progression of these scientific inquiries; one minute they’re looking at a clump of dirt through a child’s magnifying glass, the next minute they’re launching a rocket to the moon. :-)
