Hello Summer

JoJo says hello

Hello Summer! We’re done being sick and we are ready to enjoy this beautiful world. I’m listening to Little L read a book to himself, I’m feeling anticipation about the days ahead, I’m smelling the fresh garden dirt, and I’m seeing a clear blue sky out the window.

Little L with Tawny

Today, I need to accomplish: cleaning all the bathrooms, vacuuming the upstairs hall and guest room, washing about five loads of laundry, and supervising the kids’ chores. I have a visit from Elisabeth today, the gal who arranges the French Exchange Program. I’m also expecting a friend from out of town to stop by on her way through to Idaho.

What’s on your plate today? Many blessings to you as we head into a celebration of Independence this weekend!

Oh, can’t wait for your articles this month! :D

Did you hear that we are moving back to Idaho? I haven’t gotten up the guts to post about it yet as there are so many details to work out, but my husband has a job lead. If he doesn’t get that one, he’ll keep looking. Eventually, we’ll be much closer to you though! Then can I invite myself over? ;)

    Hi Jen~

Glad to hear that you are all well! Hope that you are relaxing and enjoying your time off–I know I am! I hope your visit with Elizabeth went well. She is so sweet and her girls are adorable ( I don’t know if she brought them…). Have a great weekend!

Looking forward to your July articles, Jennifer.

    La Liberte! Vive La France!

OK, I get it. The U.S. and France both have a revolutionary spirit. So that’s why the statue of Liberty was a gift from “the frogs!” Sorry, I’m behind a bit on my US history… growing up in Canada, we simply weren’t taught a thing about American history in school. However, we did learn A LOT of French. I’m nearly bilingual, eh?

Lovely photos of “les enfants” above. :~D

Sorry everyone was sick-but glad their better now. I can see the kids are loving the outdoors-and I know you are loving the summer. The French exchange student sounds so neat-I’m looking forward to hearing more.

    Happy July 4th!

Renae, can’t wait for you to move! Definitely, you’ve got an open invitation here. :-)

e-Mom, I can’t believe you didn’t learn American history! Well, never mind that, we didn’t learn much Canadian history!

Tipper, Thanks, and your garden is looking stunning.

Holly, it was a wonderful time with Elisabeth.
