I thought I was celebrating spring, not summer. But I have brave kids.
Central Oregon, April 5, 4:00 p.m., 66 degrees. I’m wearing a sweater. But blue sky, bright sun, and no wind all make for swimming in April, at least for these country kids. It innocently began with chasing jackrabbits, then some water-play, soon followed by a child streaking in to ask for a cork to plug the pool and fill it. Being busy with paperwork, and seeing no harm, I acquiesced. I figured they’d be far too cold once the water started flowing and it would come to an abrupt end, but no, the splashing and shrieks of delight went on for at least an hour.
p.s. You haven’t noticed I don’t think - but I have your team mascot banner on my side bar with a link to your Team Mascot site. Hope it sends some people your way! It’s been there for a few weeks now.

Julie, yes, Brrrrr was my opinion. And wow, thank you for putting the TeamMASCOT link up, I’m sorry I didn’t notice!!
How fun is that?! It is interesting how children progress in their play, especially when we moms relax and let them entertain themselves. I used to hop into the ocean on a dare year round, so I know you can’t get pneumonia from cold water, but I sure don’t dive in in November anymore!

Gee Whiz! Will they not get pneumonia? I can’t handle the cold, no way would I be out there. No matter how much fun they were having.

Good for you-let them be adventureous kids! My m-n-law always says “their smart when they get cold they’ll come in”. Loved the pics!
