I sat holding my four year old son last night, cherishing the moments that are so fleeting. He began a long and lovely conversation with me that went something like this:
Mommy, you are beautiful! Your hair is beautiful, your skin is beautiful, your “these” (pointing to my eyebrows) are beautiful, your arms are beautiful, your fingers are beautiful, this thing on your finger (my ring) is beautiful.
He went on. And on. We all need to hear that sometimes!! It was a long and exhausting day and I sat rather crumpled in a chair, and when he came to climb in my lap, I wasn’t so sure I had the energy for this. But I was wrong. I always have the energy to listen to how beautiful I am. :-)
Our Father in Heaven thinks we are all beautiful, and I believe He chose to tell me that last night through my precious little boy.
That is so, so precious. I always have time to hear that I am beautiful too!

Oh this was so precious to read. My big boy has said these kind of things to me too and it touches me greatly, especially since I but heads with him the most.
I have enjoyed your kids this week. They are so well behaved and very, very sweet!
So sweet and so rewarding as a Mom. I rember one of my girls holding my face in her chubby little hands and saying pweety pweety over and over. Nothing compares with how that makes you feel!
So sweet!
Sometimes I miss when mine were little. They were so sweet and innocent.

Oh my, what a dreamy boy. I’m glad you’ve recoreded it, now you’ll have to to remember when he’s all big and stinky and not so interested. :)
Oh, and we were at the concert tonight- SO fun, my husband saw the Steelers wallet and really wanted one but we didn’t bring $. Could we still get one? I’m guessing that you brought? I’d love to get it…from the business or school. Let me know. :)
Thank you, friends! I have to record those moments because he’s not always so sweet, as you know is the way with 4 year olds.
Amanda, yes, I’ll save the Steelers wallet for you; it was a fundraiser for my class so I’ll have you buy it through the school, but I’ll get ahold of you personally to do this…
Awww, so sweet! I live for moments like this. One day my girl told me, “I think you’re beautiful mom. A little bit fat, but beautiful!” Waaaaa!! I don’t need to hear the second (so honest) sentence!
Hi aunt Jen! That was so sweet of what Little L said to you. It was so touching! i can’t wait to here my kids say those words to me!!! See you @ christmas, Sam
