We saw it! We were in the middle of a desert outside the city and it was so dark, making the sky look so beautiful.

It was a delight to see such spectacular night show and I've read it will not be like that again until another 15 years! I feel so lucky and blessed.

On the other note, looking at the sky makes me feel so small. So small in the sense that I am humbled by God's massive creation.

P.S. Like Julie, I can't recommend The Star of Bethlehem too strongly. It's the most awesome video... we order it last year, and we were just blown away by the scientific research and Christian content.

We saw it and found it amazing. Even K2 our 20 mo. old saw it and was mesmerized. He kept saying lights, moon, lights, moon.

God is so awesome!!

Mrs. Darling, I saw it tonight and was surprised at how much more distance there is (in just one night) between the moon and those two planets; truly, last night was THE night to get that amazing view of the crescent moon right next to Venus and Jupiter. I think in 2012 you may get a similar view. But if you're in Western Europe, especially Britain, there was a very, very special sight last night that won't be seen again until 2032...the moon passed in front of Venus; called the Venus occultation (concealing). A game of celestial hide-and-seek, with Venus reappearing on the other side of the moon.

Wickle, hopefully you live in the country...the stars out here are a.maze.ing.

Julie, I haven't seen that movie but will check it out, thanks for the info!

Dana, yes, the moon was the icing on the cake!

Becky, cool, glad you saw it!!

I did notice it. And I was thinking about how it looked like something out of a storybook. I had no idea what it was until I seen it on your and another's post.
Thanks for sharing. I now know I wasn't the only one who was enjoying the view.

It was beautiful. We've been enjoying Venus and Jupiter the last couple weeks, and the moon's presence was a nice treat.

Have you ever seen the movie "The Star of Bethlehem" - Most amazing and confirming movie I have seen in so long. It calmed any nervousness about this world to remind us that God is so HUGE and in charge and that He has always been in charge and always will be.

That is so cool! Thanks for the heads-up. I used to be a bit of a stargazer, but I drifted away from it. This might be a good opportunity to get back outside.
