I'm not morbidly drawn to trials, I promise you. But for some reason, God has allowed me to see the beauty and redemptive power of trials, and songs like this completely speak to me. I told you in a recent post about how I memorized James chapter 1 as a very young adult, THE chapter to memorize if you're interested in God's interest in suffering. I didn't know it at the time, but it would serve me well. And we're entering an age of trials, I believe, for believers in this nation. If we can acknowledge them as loving chastenings from the Lord which will lead to perfecting us and making us more like Christ, we'll do well. Tipper, thank you.
