Welcome to Word-Filled Wednesday - a place for sharing a photo and a Bible verse. Here are two of my children getting refreshed on a hot day last week. This is peace, two siblings drinking out of the same hose and not spraying each other up the nose!
For this is what the Lord says: “I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.” Isaiah 66:12-13
I’m enjoying “The Heavenly Man”. I am struck by the intensity of his witness and humbled by his knowledge of the Word. I plan on blogging more thoughts on this soon. I’ve been praying a lot for the brothers and sisters in China lately.
On “The Beloved Disciple” I have to say it was good at first but the last few weeks have been GREAT! I am so happy I committed to doing this over the summer. I feel very “in the stream” this year. I’ve learned so much and have really grown. That’s a cool thing to do in the midst of a busy summer.
Lovely picture and very encouraging verses! Thank God for His peace that is like a flooding stream, and passeth all understandings! Thanks for sharing this sweet picture and precious verses with us. Take care and God bless!
Your shot takes me back to childhood… so refreshing!
The promise of peace for Jerusalem has never been more relevant than today. I quickly looked up the context of this passage, and discovered it’s a message of hope in the midst of judgment. Help us Lord!
“This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.” v.2

Seems I need that peace like a river today-and actually more and more each day. Love the picture-such cutie pie kids you have.

I love this shot- what would kids to without water and hoses??? Great verse.
One of the most terrific activities - drinking out of a hose. Sigh.
What a great picture and verse.
Thank you!
