Our son is convinced I can’t see without my glasses, so he kind of gets excited/panics when I don’t have them on. He has not, however, gifted me with the special improves-intelligence variety ;-)

Mandi, maybe I'll email YOU a picture. How was your week of teaching VBS? I was thinking/praying for you. Renae, I think with summer here, I can't put off purchasing new contacts anymore! I'll bet you'll give in soon, too. :-) Sandier Pastures, sshhh, it's our secret, okay? Tipper, I'm sure even the $2.99 glasses at the local pharmacy would do the trick. That’s hilarious Jen! I definantly need a pair! I’m feeling like, “What in the world am I doing?!!! What was I thinking when I said yes to homeschool!?”

And I don’t wear glasses, so my kids can see right through me :)!

What? No picture of these incredibly intelligent looking glasses?
I really think I need a pair especially after this week teaching 20 1st and 2nd graders (that includes 8 very obnoxious little boys) at our local VBS. I am not sure that my sanity will be intact and so I am thinking that I might be able to hide it behind these glasses and no one will be the wiser! What do ya think?

Heather, that's cute - please Mom, would you look like a teacher for me? :-) Becky, well, it's good to know he has such high expectations of you, I suppose. It's healthy, though, for our kids to see us having to look up the answers sometimes. Jocelyn, thank you, you're very kind! MooBeeMa, very sophisticated until you have to go swimming with them because your kid accidentally tipped over and dried out your last pair of contact lenses.

Ha ha! My oldest son asked a question and I told him I didn’t know the answer. He was shocked, he said, “Your supposed to know everything, cause your the Mom!” I felt like I had let him down.

YEah, my kids like me to “look like a teacher” if I do anything of the traditional teaching sort, and more than once I have had similar comments from mine. :)
