Mrs. Darling I know, your cupboards are always stocked! I've never been good at stocking up, except when my husband shoots an elk or deer.

Amanda, how fun to visit - I didn't know you had a blog. I don't normally tell my "real life" friends about my blog unless in comes up somehow, and I won't hide it on purpose. I'm enjoying reading over at your place.

Linnet, thank you!! It's honestly good feedback to hear, that you find my blog uplifting, because you just never know! Yes, I hear you on the rations!

I'm thankful for your blog because it's always so uplifting :)

We're on rations this month because money is tight, but we are so thankful that we have food and if we did get desperate I am so thankful I have a God, a church and a family who would help us through.

Still need to chat about co-op...I'll be heading to the hatchery w/ you in June, we can hatch some ideas ourselves? :)

Sharon, glad you see the humor!

BP, that's the bottom line - God does provide, one way or another.

Prairie Chick, I guess it is revealing, looking at what one is thanking God for...That's a good thing.

Mary, I found MORE coffee beans in the back of a different cupboard today. Seriously! Thank God, because I still haven't been to the store! I'm seeing the backs of my cupboards and the racks of the fridge for the first time in a while.

e-Mom, wow, small world, yes. Is your daughter getting married at New Hope? We've sort of followed Wayne Cordeiro since he was a youth pastor at my home church in Eugene. He was gone to Hawaii before I got there, but came back often to speak, and I just saw him in Central Oregon several months ago. And New Hope just started a LIVE streaming video of their weekend services, so our "church" this past Sunday, well, I guess we went to church with your daughter, in a way!

Cheryl, glad to join the Thankful Thursday group - it's a fun bunch of bloggers!

Julie, I was thinking of you with all this rain, and I'll bet we both had the same thought: Are we back in the valley?!

Tipper, what a blessing to have Granny down the road! And you are a lucky gal to have that brother of yours! What a sweet guy.

Good post-I'm always thankful I can send one of my girls down the road to Granny's when I run out of something. But today I am especially thankful for a brother who calls to check on his sister just because he knew I was upset and wanted to double check that I really was o.k. Precious brother.

New Hope Church in Hawaii, eh? Small world. That's where my daughter's been going. I've just written a draft about their upcoming nuptials, with a link to the church... Too funny. :~D

(P.S. Yes, it's so good to give thanks, especially when the pickin's are slim. :~D)

This is wonderful TT post. I too have lived on beans and bread and found a bag of coffee in the back of the cupboard that was given as a gift. Isn't God good? He always supplies our needs through some means.

Thank you for commenting on my TT post. I hope you will visit often.

Blessings,
Mary

Heather, yes, I noticed the food theme - kind of funny! I just happened to be out of EVERYTHING, and that's when you're suddenly thankful for even those few crumbs you can rustle up!
