Can you see me?

Apparently, from what I’ve heard lately, folks with Internet Explorer 7 can’t see me. At least, not right away. It sounds like they are met with a blank yellowish screen and only upon scrolling waaaay down does my blog appear.

Could you please give me some blog feedback? My husband/tech guy/designer extraordinaire will be working on my site this weekend, and any feedback you give will help him troubleshoot the problem. The browser we use is Safari (the world’s best browser according to Mac-geeks like my husband) and Diary of 1 looks just beautiful with this application.

SO, if you’ve stopped by here, would kindly tell me:

1. What browser (and version) do you use? (For example, IE-7, Firefox, Safari). If you have NO idea what I’m talking about, read this.

2. What do you first see when you go to www.diaryof1.com? You should see something like this:

Diary of 1 screen shot

3. Are there any other annoying things (not looking for critiques of my writing, people!) that you’ve noticed?

Thanks for your help!!

    Firefox. Looks fine.
And Firefox is the best browser ever, btw. ;)

I use firefox on a Mac (both the best ;-) and everything looks fabulous and the same as your picture except that the sidebar, which looks yellow on your picture, is gray and light gray.

Yes, I have meant to mention this, but then I get caught up in reading and commenting, and forget. I usually have to scroll WAY down- i use Internet Explorer.

2 other things that annoy me about your blog:
    - you are smarter than me
    - you write better than me.
    JUST TEASING.

This is what I use to check websites in different browsers since I only use Firefox 3: http://browsershots.org/

Hmmm, Firefox sounds like he plays nice! But Internet Explorer is a bugger. Thanks, Heather for the link, and Jane, thanks for sharing the annoyances. :-)

Everything looks great to me… IE (not sure which version, but it’s older.)

Internet Explorer 7 here and Yes I have to scroll way down to see anything. It took me awhile to figure out where your comment button was so I could leave a comment too. That just might be my newness to the blogging world.

Internet Explorer and I do have to scroll down a ways before I see anything. But your page loads fast-since I have dial up sometimes some sites take a while. But on your site once I scroll down it is all there. I thought it was my dial up causing it.

Thanks everyone, very appreciated. Just to note, I did test the site across all major browsers, Firefox, IE6, IE7 and Safari when the site was initially revised, but obviously there is a version of IE that is throwing fits - sorry for the hassles.

If you are needing to scroll way down can you tell me what version of IE you are using? You should be able to access that info while in IE from the Help->About IE menu. If you could also tell me if you’re using Vista or XP - that would help.

Heather, thanks for the pointer to http://browsershots.org/ - I had never heard of them before. I typically use NetRenderer.com which showed fine - but doesn’t show the whole site - BrowserShots looks much, much nicer.
