May 8, 1948, Israel declared its independence. On May 14, Israel celebrates its official Independence Day. I support Israel.

Sheila, MooBeeMa, e-Mom, and Tipper, thanks for your comments! Israel has a right to exist. I know this is a controversial political subject, but I’m tired of hearing “death to Israel” and all the other vile things coming out of certain Middle Eastern leaders (and even some Americans). I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Peace would be fantastic. My son, Gabriel, recently expressed an interest in traveling to Israel, and I hope to take him & our family there one day.
