A lot of you appreciated the blue sky, so definitely I’m glad I didn’t go B&W. Andrée, yes, I’m in the west. This is Central Oregon, and this land you see in the photo is farm/ranch land, old homestead places, and before that, not so long ago, with relics still here, the land of the Paiutes, sometimes the Shoshones. The real cowboys & indians. There was a 2 yr. battle fought right on this spot, with arrowheads all around to prove it. I go hunting for them all the time; so far I’ve just found a lot of obsidian chips from the indians’ “manufacturing” and chipping, but my neighbor has found many full arrowheads. One of these days I’ll find one.

I really like this shot a lot. You have to be in the west by the look of the mountains. The “feud” resonates so much in our history.

Jennifer, that is a really cool shot- love it. In response to your question on my last post- that big piece of metal is one of the beater attachments to my Kitchen Aid. My husband bought the heavy duty one for me a few years ago- it is the greatest thing- I use it all the time. It also has a dough hook, whipping attachment, and this past Christmas we bought a family gift of an ice cream maker attachment. Now we can have really delicious homemade ice cream and the best part is that we don’t have to worry about our 5 year old’s fatal nut allergy (he can’t eat most brands). There, that is my long answer to your query.
