As you can see, ladies (and gentlemen), there was no room in the freezer for this quart of ice cream, so I simply had to eat it.
I believe it fit before I took it out, but somehow, various frozen food stuffs were shuffled in such a way that it no longer had a space, not an inch to spare in there. And truly, there was only about a quarter of the quart left, so my goodness, why make such a fuss over rearranging the entire freezer to wedge this luscious, chocolatey, creamy dessert back in there? Can’t you see that the carton is already slightly crushed?
Ahem, for more Works For Me Wednesday posts, visit Don’t Try This At Home (who is hosting while Shannon is in Uganda), and I’m sure you’ll find something other than Breyers All Natural Organic Chocolate Ice Cream that works for you.
Just a dream, my dear, just a dream! Organic has nothing to do with calories. This particular ice cream has, per 1/2 cup serving, 140 calories and 7 grams of fat. The organic part - just means that while I still get the full serving of fat, it’s without any added hormones, antibiotics, etc. And I actually don’t always buy organic, just when I can afford it, and this ice cream I picked up at the local Grocery Outlet because it was close to date. But I do always buy from our local dairy (Eberhards).
Excellent advice my friend - in fact I think I just might go check out our freezer right now for an ice cream carton that might not fit back in after I pull it out! ( :
You are wise to have eaten that ice cream. See…if you didn’t eat it, you’d stress over how on earth to get it back into the freezer. Stress makes you eat even more, and you’d be hunting down that bag of Hershey’s kisses you bought for Valentine’s Day. And you’d eat it all.
So…by eating the ice cream, you reduced your stress level and consumed far less calories.
Good for you!

Is organic icecream less calories than regular or did I dream that up?
My kind of girl! Thanks for the chuckle!

Absolutely. It was obviously the only choice. Well done.
Giggle. I have done that with whipped topping as well as with our Soy ice cream. :) Works for me.
Mamabug, I’m glad you got a chuckle! And WillThink4Wine, how true, I clearly had no other choice, it was the only honest thing to do.
Oh, Heather, whipped topping and even Soy ice cream would absolutely get the same treatment! :-)

LOL!! Thanks for the chuckle. You are totally right about eating ice cream that can’t fit in the freezer. :)
Thanks for stopping by my “place” today!
I would do the same if I were you too!…which brings me to say, I’d buy ice cream next time I have a full freezer (to have a valid excuse). ;-)
Mandi, you sneaky little gal! I made an honest freezer error, I can assure you! :-)
Sonshine, oh good, you’re laughing. I was afraid someone might reprimand me for bingeing on chocoalte ice cream.
Grace, you and Mandi would get along nicely. Full freezer - it’s an ice cream day!
