Mrs. Darling, nothing is too far out; I like the image I get in my mind there!

e-Mom, well, if you ever head down this way, do let me know and I'll give you the local tour!

Neat! My husband was born in Salem, and he have relatives in Portland. Maybe we'll look for this the next time we're down your way!

Kathleen, now you're thinking - I like that creative outlook! My kids were of course trying to figure out the story behind the mysterious chimneys. I'll let you know if I discover the true circumstances. My husband thinks they may have to do with old military outposts...

Dana, so, they're in the Smokies, too? There's got to be a story here! So, is Principled Discovery or the Simple Pleasures website your "main" site?

We saw quite a few of those in the Smokies. It was kind of interesting to imagine their life prior to the land being purchased to make way for the park...and to think of the building slowly deteriorating over time.

btw, I know you know this, but this is also my official change of address card. I am quite honored to have somehow earned a spot in your sidebar.

Principled Discovery may now be found at http://principleddiscovery.com

What a neat find!
I love things like that because you can make up your own story about it. (thinking like a homeschool mom here) I can see my kids creating stories about raging disease and burning of the entire village. I'll have to go out looking for some chimneys of my own!!
