What a great quote.

Thanks for this one, it was interesting. I do feel like an Indian, sometimes. 

You do know what happened to the tribes after they declined, though.
Their children were often taken away from them by force and placed in missionary run, government &quot;Indian&quot; schools, where they were punished for using their own languages and religion. They were sent home later, completely alienated from their families and cultures.
And we wonder why now there is so much pathology on the reservations? 

And exactly what is the result of turning our kids over to the government school system? Hmmm...I think I&#039;m beginning to see a pattern here.</description>
