On My Way Home

I have three lovely pictures to share with you from my drive home yesterday. First, you’ll see the friendly deer I passed, with the amazing vistas in the background; next is an abandoned bridge stretching across the Crooked River (which the cows still use); and finally, the full moon rising over the hills in front of my house. (Here is a handy Night Sky Calendar from Space.com, if you’d like to know the moon phases.)

    Thanks, Kathleen.

It must be the full moon, because last night the coyotes were howling, and tonight the elk are bugling (beautiful sound, the first I’ve heard!!).

Its hard to believe we live in the same state. It’s like a different country on the other side of the mountain!

There are some times, quite a few actually, where I wish I wasn’t such a city boy.

    Beautiful pictures.

Mrs. Darling, you are so right. Several weekends ago, we hit all three diversities of the state: we travelled from here in the Central Oregon high desert, on to the lush green Willamette Valley, then to the refreshing salt air of the Oregon Coast on the mighty Pacific. Wow – all in our state!

Michael, just be sure to at least retire to the country. But retire young so you can enjoy it!

These pictures are amazing Jen, I’m glad we got to see the beauty in person. I am excited to come stay with you and your family again soon, hopefully! Keep in touch and tell the kids and Chris hello.
    Blessings,
    Brian & Becky

Great scene fit for a nature-themed calendar! I wish I could see something like that in real life. Someday…

Brian & Becky, you better come back soon so I can get a little baby fix again! She’s such a doll.

Grace, if you ever find yourself anywhere near Oregon, you have a place to stay. It’s even more beautiful in real life.

Like everyone else, I think your pics were beautiful. I love quaint bridges!
