Heidi, thanks for the encouragement & prayers. I’d love to come visit your congregation sometime, it sounds refreshing and I like Saturday meetings. :-) Looking forward to seeing you next week!!

Jane, we all need grace, for sure. Both receiving it and giving it are critical. I continue to do my best to be at peace with all men.

Kathleen, it’s getting better. Nothing has changed, but it’s all in attitude! And I do get to visit with a new friend soon. :-)

Dana, The Church. Why don’t you have that person call me and send some enthusiasm my way? Really, though, this personal situation I’m dealing with, while it dampens my view of the modern institution of the church, my love of The Church is very intact.

Youch. I don’t have much more to add to that.

Now I’m going to ignore this post and go back to reading my encouraging notes which are making me feel much better about the church. I know there is the church and then there is The Church. But I wish it were clearer that we were apart of that big beautiful kingdom. That our own sin and those of others didn’t so often seem to stand in the way.

So back to the The Church as exemplified by someone whose enthusiasm for it literally overflowed through the phone lines.

It sounds like you’ve had a rough week. I wish I could offer some great wisdom for getting through it. I think Heidi is on the right track, a visit with a friend will be a welcome diversion. If only I lived closer!!

I’m sorry to hear about your fellowship issues. That is so hard! On a side note, there’s a messianic congregation that meets in Bend who has some amazing people and great teaching. Even if we do meet on Saturdays! :)
